International Children's Book Day

Kendriya Vidyalaya NMU Jalgaon celebrated International Children's Book Day
with great enthusiasm on 2nd April 2026. The celebration was based on the theme
“DEAR – Drop Everything and Read”, encouraging students to develop a love for
reading.
Students
from different classes actively participated in the activity by bringing their
favorite books and engaging in silent reading sessions. At a scheduled time,
everyone in the school paused their work and devoted time to reading, creating
a joyful and peaceful reading environment.
Teachers
guided students about the importance of reading in improving language skills,
creativity, and knowledge. Some students also shared short stories and spoke
about their favorite books.
The event
successfully promoted reading habits among students and highlighted the value
of books in everyday life. It was an inspiring and enjoyable experience for
all.
